Tau K19, C322S Mutant
The Tau K19 fragment comprises the microtubule binding region of Tau with repeat 2 omitted and the mutation C322S. The K19 fragment of Tau has a higher propensity of aggregation than the full-length protein1, with this mutant form serving as a non-aggregating control2. Applications for this construct could include aggregation experiments, microtubule binding studies3 and acetyltransferase activity4.
