Biotin Tau-441
Product background: The Tau proteins are a family of neuronal microtubule associated proteins that are found in the neurofibrillary tangles often associated with Alzheimer’s Disease. Tau promotes the assembly and maintains the structure of microtubules in neuronal cells.
About the product: The Biotinylated Tau-441 was expressed recombinantly in E. coli and biotinylated at an Avi-tag was added to the C-terminus of the Tau-441 sequence. Biotinylation was verified by ELISA and western blot.
Applications: Biotinylated Tau-441 can serve as a probe in many research applications including immunohistochemistry, localization studies, and affinity assays, without the need for further labeling or a specific antibody.
