Daunorubicin

Antitumor antibiotic used in the treatment of acute myeloid leukemias. Induces DNA damage by intercalation. Induces apoptosis in a variety of cell lines. Inhibition of autophagy with chloroquine enhances daunorubicin-induced apoptosis in K562 cells. Cell permeable.
