DTG
DTG is a high affinity agonist of the sigma (σ) receptor with roughly equal potency against both subtypes (σ1 and σ2 IC50’s ~ 30 nM). Induces heavy alcohol drinking in rats in a model of alcohol use disorder. Increases BDNF expression and attenuates ischemia/reperfusion-induced learning impairment in mouse models.
