Induces neurogenesis of pluripotent P19 cells producing physiologically active neurons which respond to glutamate 1. Compared to retinoic acid, neurodazine is more selective due to its unique ability to suppress astrocyte differentiation. Induces neuronal differentiation in neuroblastoma and fibroblast cells by activating the Wnt signaling pathway 2.
