Tau Protein Ladder
Product background: The Tau proteins are splicing variants that originate from a single gene and result in mature proteins that vary in size from 352 to 441 amino acids (36.8 to 45.9 kDa). There are six Tau isoforms, which differ from one another in having 3-4 microtubule binding repeats (R) each, and 0-2 amino terminal inserts (N).
About the product: The Tau protein ladder contains all six major isoforms of Tau including: Tau-352, Tau-383, Tau-381, Tau-410, Tau-412, and full-length Tau-441. These proteins are all expressed in E. coli and supplied together in a denaturing solution containing dye and BME.
Applications: rPeptide Tau Protein Ladder is intended to be used as a standard in customer experiments involving electrophoresis. This product can be applied to SDS-PAGE, western blot analysis, and other similar assays.
